VERSION II - www.deviantart.com/deviation/5…

I fumbled blindly through the darkness
the shadows taking over me

my breath coming slower
a slow coldness sweeping over me
I reached out a hand
attempting to grasp anything

anything

to keep me upright
but my fingers met with nothing

an emptiness was at my fingertips

and I fell

I fell to the ground

and closed my eyes

the darkness consuming me entirely

and it was a still night

a silent night outside

the night,

I died.

Photographs and above writing are mine

THis is definitely a very interesting image, unlike what I have seen before. It is really rare to find a concept that hasn't been used a lot already, but I do think you found one here.
It is lovely how you tell a story just with the hands.
I really also like the dark mood in the images, it really adds to it, and gives the viewer a darker feeling. One thing I dislike is the flash on the hand in the first and second image, it is pretty much too harsh, it would look a lot better with a softer light, which doesn't take away all the details.
Also I am not sure about the angle from which the main image was taken, maybe it could have been lowered a bit. Not from the ground like the last image, but more from a middle point probably.
